Care Instructions
As our pieces are delicate in nature, they should be treated accordingly.
When you're not wearing your jewelry you should store them in a dry place. Avoid moist places, like bathrooms, that will make the sterling silver pieces tarnish extra quickly.
Avoid direct contact with water and chemical products eg soap, perfume, abrasive products.
Do not wear jewelry when in the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna/steam room,
natural hot springs or while bathing or showering.
Chlorine, detergents, oils, moisturizers & perfumes can all cause tarnishing and damage. Remove jewelry when doing household tasks.
Avoid impact with hard surfaces as much as possible.
Gently wipe jewelry clean with a soft cloth after each wear to remove make up and oils (from skin).
Don't yank or pull chains.
Remember:
Treat your jewelry like you would treat delicate textiles so you will be able to enjoy them for many years. Clothes and shoes must be maintained. washed, new soles, cleaned, repaired etc. The same goes for jewelry.
Sterling Silver / Gold
To clean silver/gold, use a polishing cloth or a jewelry dip. If using a silver/gold jewelry dip always follow the manufacturer's instructions. Do not submerge jewelry containing pearls and gems as they will get damaged.
Oxidized Sterling Silver
Oxidized sterling silver will wear over time, revealing the natural silver underneath for a beautiful antique finish. Oxidation can be renewed using liver of sulfur solution at a local jeweler. You are welcome to send me your jewelry for renewing the oxidation. *Some of the pieces cannot be re-oxidized. Excessive cleaning may remove the oxidized finish. Please avoid ultrasonic cleaning or any form of liquid cleaning.
